Wassup, it's Matt, your favorite nobody. Here's a short bio:

How I came to Neocities: I found about about this place through a youtube video. I've been trying to use less social media and generally give my life some sort of purpose, and after looking around Neocities, I thought "this is cool." So here we are. I have no experience whatsoever in programming or website developing or anything like that, but now is the best time to learn, I suppose. I hope to improve this website at least a little bit every day as I figure out what I'm doing.

About me: Let's see, what do I do for fun? Well, one hobby I recently picked up is origami when I found a book about it at a thrift store. It's crazy to me that I can make all these seemingly random folds on a normal piece of paper, and then in the last three steps, voila, you have a bird or a turtle. I feel like a wizard. And I just mentioned something else I like to do: thrifting. So you're telling me that I can get five whole DVDs for a dollar each? And a shirt for just five bucks? Amazing. This stems from an obsession I have for anything old and now considered obsolete. I've got CDs, 8-tracks, a camcorder, and VHS tapes galor, all of which I've found at Arc or Goodwill for virtually nothing. Crazy that those used to be the pinnacle of technological advancement back in the day. Sometimes it makes think about what devices we use today will become irrelevant in the future. Will the smarthone be forgotten in favor of a little coin-shaped object you stick on your head to get hyper realistic holographs right before your eyes? Will robovacs become dusty relics as walking talking robots do all the work around the house? And will all those things disappear when something better comes along? Will there even be anything better? Anyway, besides those things, my hobbies are all creative: I write, play piano, and I'm trying to learn how to draw. I would also consider myself a film buff and I read a lot. And that's about it. Maybe one day I'll make a Youtube Channel.

What you can find on this site: A lot of things. Mostly, I'll post things I've created, whether it be visual or written. I'm not a good author or artist (yet) but this works as a method of accountability for me. Even if no one sees it, I'll still be posting things on the web where people could see it. For the most part, I'll be posting stuff that I write. There'll be two different kinds of writing that I'll post:

1. The first is stories. This is self explanatory. I'm not a great creative writer, and the only way to improve is to write, so I'll try to write a lot. For the most part this'll be short stories, but maybe I'll branch out and post a longer work in a serialized format. Something new will pop up on a bi-weekly basis
2. The second thing is basically a fictional wikipedia composed of things I've come up with. That's kind of the only explanation I have for it. This fictional wikipedia is called "Encyclopaedia Eterneta" because it sounds cool. I'll post articles on that whenever I feel like it.
3. If I draw something cool, or do anything else interesting, I'll post it too.
